Uses common polyester fiber as filter material. One five pound box costs less than $16 at Hobby Lobby and will last through more than 100 filter changes! ( 113 to be exact ). You will never clean a filter again, just toss the dirty filter into a flower pot to drain ( and fertilize ) then throw it away.
